Finding Emergency Child Care

There's nothing more important than the safety of your child, so when you or your spouse has something come up at the last minute, a go-to list of emergency providers is incredibly important when you're short on time.

The first thing you need to do is make a list of the people closest to you that you know and trust. Call those people and ask them if they'd be willing to watch your kids in an emergency. Planning ahead and compiling a list will make a last minute engagement or emergency much less stressful because you'll already have a good idea of who will be there to watch your child.

Mary Wilson launched On Call Nanny, LLC in 2007 when, as a corporate executive, she could not find quality backup nanny care.
On Call Nanny now employs over 60 on call nannies with branch offices in Seattle, Washington & San Jose, California.

On Call Nanny has set the standard for “exceptional childcare on demand,” offering services to private families, and also a corporate program for employer-sponsored backup childcare. Parents and businesses who offer this benefit are strengthened by On Call Nanny- employee retention, satisfaction, and productivity increase when employees have access to quality backup childcare whenever they have a breakdown in their usual care and parents are less stressed and able to focus better knowing their children are safe and cared for.

On Call Nanny is growing nation-wide as the trusted, household name in quality backup childcare who provides the needed solution for on-demand childcare.

You can either take help from child care centers. As a parents, you know that your child’s care is your priority and not all the time your friends and relatives will help you. The best part is you won’t worry about your child when you leave him at child care.

Children in day care centers are more likely to catch an infection that kids who do not attend day care. Children who go to day care are often around other kids who may be sick.

What if you do not have back care from family and friends? Either your family and friends are not able to help or unwilling to help.

This is good idea. I also suggest using Child Care website, since it has listing of all child care providers in the US, and many has review from parents.

If you have family or friends that are located nearby, I think this is great advice. They are probably your best resource, considering you most likely won’t have to pay a sitter or nanny.

The message is simple: be prepared. Many parents find themselves unprepared when they need to find short notice care.

I’ve written a little further on this, especially if you aren’t fortunate to have family or friends nearby who can watch your child at SitterExpert.com

Many companies are now subsidizing the cost of emergency childcare to reduce employee absenteeism, so why not ask your employer if they already offer emergency childcare to employees, or ask them to contact us to find out more about joining the leading businesses to whom we provide this service.
If you are looking for emergency childcare in your private capacity, we would also be happy to help.
