What To Do If Your Child is Kicked Out of Daycare
Monday July 14, 2008
Msn.com featured an article this weekend advising parents about what to do if their kid is kicked out of daycare. I'm a step ahead; parents and providers alike have been emailing me on this topic for years. The trend is not new, although it seems the frequency of kids being "terminated" from child care is on the rise. It's a case of the needs of the many outweight the needs of the one, especially when the "one" is willful, defiant, and physical toward other kids ... which translates into more than just "high spirited." So, do you agree or disagree with child care providers being able to say, "thanks, but no thanks" when it comes to watching kids?

I don’t agree at all! My child has been kicked out of 2 daycares bc I spoke up when he was being neglected. And when I say neglected I mean left outside all day in 90 degree weather with no subblock at 2 years old, not changed or put on the potty for an entire day, not wiped clean after a bm when is he changed and being told his peanut allergy is an inconvenience even tho they were aware of it before he was even enrolled.
