If your preschooler is potty-trained and can deal with being without a parent for a decent stretch of time, then those are good signs that your kid may be ready. There are full day and half day camps, so choosing the right length for you and your preschooler is important. The location of the camp, the staff, the cleanliness of the place, logistical transportation options, and of course the cost are all factors that need to be taken into account when deciding whether your child is ready for summer camp.

Not sure i would like my children to go to camp for a even 2 or 3 days as i would miss them too much. But it is a great idea and i suppose a great way for children to not get as attached to their parents, and would make leaving in the future much easier. Good post. From Stuart at Bolton Nurseries

Preschool summer camps can be a great idea to help get your son or daughter ready for preschool, and get used to you not being there every moment. I recently placed my child in skyhawks youth summer camps and they loved it.
