Here's Yet Another Good Reason to Volunteer

Monday October 5, 2009

Your child's school is clamoring for volunteers.  Programs like scouting, church activities, and community efforts like recycling and similar green efforts are also begging.  Hopefully, you're already volunteering as much as your schedule and energy will allow.  But, if you're looking for one more good reason why to lend a helping hand, look no further than Disney's new program, "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day," which will provide certified volunteers with a one-day ticket to any park at Disneyland or Disney World in 2010.  Disney has partnered with HandsOn Network, a clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities, to coordinate the details for the program that begins Jan. 1.  The best news?  Families can participate together and children ages 6 and up who volunteer with a parent can receive an admission ticket of their own!
