Keeping kids talking...to you!

My oldest child used to tell me everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, about his life. Suddenly, it all stopped. For a while, I only got grunts and nods in return, and I made a lot of mistakes in trying to force conversations with my child. Today, I'm more relaxed and patient, and I find that common interests and sharing past experiences do indeed help to keep the communications open and conversations flowing with my children.
