Kid Goals to Grow By

The looming new year isn't the only time to have your kids set goals, but it provides a great opportunity to talk with your children about ways to foster their independence while establishing a set of rules and expectations going forward into 2009. Whether it's using inside voices while in the house or clearing their own dishes after dinner, expectations and "house rules" can lay the foundation for independent-minded and respectful children later on.
