Tuesday is Children's Flu Vaccination Day

From Robin McClure, About.com GuideDecember 8, 2008

Tuesday, Dec. 9, has been designated as Children's Flu Vaccination Day by the Centers for Disease Control and Families Fighting Flu. The day is a reminder to parents that vaccinating their children and those who live with or care for them is the first and most important step in protecting against the flu, which can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Each year in the U.S., and average of 20,000 children younger than age 5 are hospitalized due to flu-related complications. Babies at least 6 months old can receive the flu vaccine under most circumstances.
