Learning Styles Provide Insight Into Child's Learning

Thursday August 28, 2008
I don't have to know my children's learning styles to figure out what makes them tick, although reading the definitions provides me with some affirmation and comfort. My three kids have totally different "intelligence smarts" as they call it. The mix of personalities creates constant challenges for my husband and me (we're total opposites in how we process information and learn, by the way) on how to best "teach" certain things. Add to the mix is that my hubby and I are both left-handed and our two oldest kids are right-handed, so teaching certain skills even gets more fun! Just try and teach knitting!

We like to encourage our kids to learn all the time, that’s why we like www.k5stars.com online games. They have math, reading, spelling and other topics that teach kids in a fun and entertaining way they enjoy.
