School Bus Safety: Drivers Should Be Extra Cautious During School Year
Thursday August 21, 2008
My kids ride the school bus, which lets me avoid the school drop-off and pick-up mob. While I know I don't have to worry about those motorists at the school, I still have concerns about impatient drivers and ones who zip pass buses unloading precious cargo--ignoring the laws that, regardless of their schedule, they must wait until the bus flashers are off and it is okay to proceed. With school starting, motorists should be extra cautious around school buses during the school year and make sure that the 30 seconds they gain doesn't cause a tragedy of a lifetime.
