Keeping Kids Safe Around Cars

I watched in horror last week as a toddler darted behind a large SUV while the unaware motorist was backing out of a parking space. If it weren't for the driver's windows being down, the hysterical shouts to stop might not have been heard and a child inadvertently killed or injured. Backover accidents are reported to be on the rise, and parents and motorists alike must be more careful in protecting our kids. Driveways and parking lots present prime opportunities for tragedies, especially in the summertime when kids spend more times outdoors.
