Should You Allow Caregivers to Transport Your Child?

Friday April 11, 2008
Summertime sign-ups for child care are occuring right now (better hurry!) and the big debate that occurs each year is whether to allow daycare or your child's caregiver to transport kids. Many providers plan field trips to the movies, zoo, park and other places, requiring kids to be loaded up into a vehicle and be transported away from the place you dropped them off initially. Some parents applaud the field trips and believe it provides additional learning experiences and extra fun! Others, however, won't allow their kids to be transported because they believe it places them at a greater safety risk. What do you think?
