'Start Walking Day' Urges Healthy Lifestyle
Tuesday April 8, 2008
The American Heart Association has designated April 16 as National Start! Walking Day to help Americans improve their health by adopting a healthy lifestyle. I can't think of a better day to encourage kids to think healthy. Research shows that less kids than ever walk or ride their bikes to school and child obesity is on the rise. Being overweight affects school attendance as well, possibly leading to academic problems later. The key is daily exercise. I'm good with that!
