April Marks National Child Abuse Awareness Month

A sobering and often tragic reality is that kids too often are abused--either by parents, relatives, acquaintances, neighbors, and even child caregivers. Recently, a deranged mom in the state where I live (Texas) literally threw her two small kids off of a highway bridge onto traffic below. Miraculously, both children survived. The month of April is dedicated to raising awareness and helping to prevent such heinous abuse of our children. Here are some topics to consider this month. Remember that awareness is a positive first step:
