Planning to travel somewhere or host guests this holiday season? Most families are either going somewhere to congregate or plan to entertain others in their home over the upcoming few weeks. In the hustle-and-bustle of planning menus, cleaning house, purchasing gifts and washing clothes, a small detail often gets overlooked that can make a positive difference for guests: planning details to make visiting kids feel at home. Whether it's placing age-appropriate books or simple toys in the guest room, stocking up on toiletries in the bathroom, or making sure the reading light has a bulb that works, here are a few more things to put on your "to do" list before your doorbell begins to ring with guests!
