Should Parents Publicly Broadcast Arrival of New Baby?

Wednesday September 20, 2006
Everyone just loves happy endings, which was the fortunate conclusion to the young Missouri mother who was slashed and her newborn child forcefully taken last week. The healthy baby girl, Abby, was reunited with her family yesterday. News reports say the parents, who had proudly displayed a birth announcement sign, didn't know the suspect. The horrific crime has raised concerns about whether proud parents should publicly broadcast the arrival of a new baby into the family.

Well you should announce it to your close friends and family obviously but there is no point in publicly broadcasting it.

I believe its broadcasting a newborn baby is what all proud parents want to do. It’s not the mother’s fault she was attacked. Society is just not what it used to be. I had neighbors who publicly displayed balloons and things in their yard and nothing bad ever happened to their baby.
