Reasons to Start a Playgroup

A playgroup can provide parents (both those who work outside the home as well as those who don't) with craved adult-time and allow youngsters to learn social skills such as sharing and taking turns. But, if there isn't already one in your area, should you be the person to get a children's playgroup established? Maybe, or maybe not. But, lots of long-term friendships (kids and adults) have started over an outing at the park or over ice cream.
