Study Says: Preschool Leads To Better Health In Adulthood

The latest edition of the Family Initiative Newsletter features an article concerning a new study published in Pediatrics, the official journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which finds that preschool leads to better health in adulthood.
The study found that urban children enrolled in the Brookline Early Education Program between 1973 and 1979 had significantly better earnings and physical and mental health compared to their peers. The title of the study is The Brookline Early Education Project: A 25-Year Follow-Up Study Of A Family-Centered Early Health and Development Intervention and can be located in PEDIATRICS Vol. 116 No. 1 July 2005, PP. 144-152.
