Operation Military Child Care: Help Spread the Word

Friday June 17, 2005
Have you ever heard of Operation Military Child Care (OMCC) or do you know of anyone in the miliary who may be interested in this program? This new program is aimed at helping military families care for their children through guidance, placement, and subsidies. OMCC is designed to alleviate some of the child care expense and burden facing National Guard and Reserve families as their spouses serve the global war on terror. Guard and Reserve families are often turned into military families overnight when their spouse deploys and often don't live near a military community to use their support programs. The program assists eligible families in finding quality child care in their neighborhood and also helps to pay for it. Help spread the word by sharing information that provides much needed resources to eligible military families who may not know about these benefits. A few simple steps can go a long way in educating eligible families about these free resources. Details are available by clicking on the above link or go to The Nation's Network of Child Care Resources and Referral. Or, eligible parties can call 1-800-424-2246.
