Kid Bathroom Adventures: When Going Solo Is A Must

As a mom of two boys and one daughter, the public bathroom issue has become a dilemma more than a few times through the years. My boys have yelped with embarrassment and even flat-out-refused to go into the women's restroom long before I wanted them to journey into a men's bathroom alone. My husband has experienced the same hurdles with our daughter. After all, we're not always together when we're with our kids and this part of growing up is typically harder on adults than on the kids. So, what should parents and any child provider/sitter do when a child must go to a public bathroom? Assuming your child is potty-trained and independent and old enough, here are 9 tips for helping to ensure a public bathroom outing is a positive experience.
