The Five Senses: Preschool Curriculum

Thursday April 28, 2005
Self-named "childcarediva" Cathy Abraham recently sent me a link to her pre-school curriculum along with an explanation as to why these anytime theme units foster attention-grabbing learning experiences for children. Check out The Five Senses, which she offers as a free sample. I like her organization of concepts, colors, art activities, community time, math and science time, parent involvement, and more! What kid wouldn't have a fun and enriching time learning about the senses through these suggestions? The Class Mystery Can idea is particularly cool; my younger kids thrive on mystery and suspense and this is just up their alley. And, if they can learn while solving a mystery at the same time? Wow...is this what you call learning?
