Take Our Daughters/Sons To Work Day Celebration

Thursday April 28, 2005
Today is the national celebration for Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day, and kids across America are taking advantage of this special date to learn what their parents actually do when at work. Of course, many employers and schools opt to select a different day that coincides with a special event, is better timing for business reasons, or works better for parents. Does you employer observe this celebration? If not, see if a special day or event can be established at your workplace. It sure beats conversations like my 6-year-old daughter had with me this week, where she said that "all I ever do at work is just talk on the phone and talk with people." I asked her what she thought I talked about, and she just shrugged her shoulders, and said: "shopping?" Her exact words...promise!
