Communication is Key To Parent-Provider Success
Wednesday April 6, 2005
How often do you talk with your kid's provider? Not just saying "hi," or flashing a quick smile as you grab Kenny's backpack or pick up Emilee's shoes. I mean really talk...in a meaningful way...where you both can exchange ideas or at least finish a sentence without being interrupted by a child.
Communication is the key for successful parent-provider relationships, and whether it is a formal parent-teacher-provider conference or just a chat, taking time to do that may prove to be an eye-opening or at least enriching experience. That's how I first found out that my daughter absolutely adores broccoli. Who was to know? My provider, of course!
