Getting my daughter to not talk with her mouth full or my 13-year-old to get his elbows off the table or to reply more with a, "yeah, what?" response is exhausting. I remind myself that my constant nagging and reminding will pay off in the end. Or, at least a mom can hope. Good child manners and social graces is a skill parents and providers alike must teach kids. After all, it is not something that they will just "know" automatically. I'm hoping to have my three children looking and acting their best this upcoming holiday season, and the coaching is starting now. Here are tips for teaching good manners to kids now and in time for them to showcase their social graces in time for Thanksgiving dinner or next special occasion!
