Unless your kid is a mere baby, now is as good of time as any to start educating your child about the election process. Research shows that involved, active parents are the ones most likely to foster active, caring and informed young voters. Since 1972, when 18-year-olds were granted the right to vote, the percentage of those young adults taking advantage of voting has been on the decline. So much so that several groups have initiated awareness campaigns, beginning with the very young.
