Head Lice: It's Nit-Picking Time All Around

"Ewww" is the first reaction from most adults when they learn their kids are infested with the tiny, wingless insects of head lice...and the dreaded eggs (nits) to boot. Care providers and school nurses alike report that resuming back to school and fall activities often brings with it the added threat of lice. Just remember that getting head lice has nothing to do with hygiene and is most often easily eliminated. Here are some facts about head lice and tips to treat them.
