Sweet Slumber: Do Your Children Sleep Through The Night?

Tuesday August 10, 2004
Believe it or not, my children have already started the 2004-2005 school year. While many parts of the country don't begin school until late August or until after Labor Day, my first grader's and middle schooler's first day was Aug. 5. While my pre-schooler doesn't begin a new year per se, the new school marks the end of summer fun activities and a beginning of the regular care season. As a parent, this has meant earlier bedtimes, re-learning the use of an alarm clock, and schedule. These changes have resulted in my preschooler attempting an occasional "back to mom's bed sneak." But, I'm on to him. If you share occasional middle-of-the-night bed attempts as I do, you'll be interested in these tips for getting your child to stay in bed all night. And, if you know of other ideas that have worked, consider adding them to the discussion on the Child Care Forum.
