The Buzz About Mosquitos: Summer Means It's Time To Protect Against West Nile Virus

The buzz in the air from mosquitos may be more dangerous than an annoying bite and resulting itch. Mosquitos can carry the potentially dangerous West Nile Virus (WNV). Parents and child care providers should be informed about what it is, and what to do to minimize exposure. In addition, parents should be asking what their child's camp director or daycare does to protect children from mosquitos when outside. Here are things to know and tips to follow for a less buggy summer and fall.
